Treasury of Barbie Doll Accessories: 1961-1995 Rupp, Rebecca Ann 1995 10018376 REVIEW:" Upon opening this guide, Rupp demonstrates immediately why it is so essential to have this book in your library. From the Table of Contents page, all the way through to the Epilogue, Rupp presents the reader with 412 of the clearest, most colorful photos of Barbie doll accessories made from 1961-1995. With each picture, a caption is provided desribing these treasures with dates they were copyrighted, and other interesting tidbits that some of us have forgotten (i.e. Sear's exclusive, working escalators, even product I.D. numbers). Cases, houses, paper dolls, and colognes are covered. There's enough here to provide any child or fan of the 70's and 80's with lots of opportunities to reminisce and learn. Rupp has done a fantastic job. One look through this book will have you exclaiming, "Wow! I had that!" An excellent source of entertainment and education!" About the Author: Rebecca Ann Rupp has actively been involved with Barbie dolls and accessories since she received her first Barbie doll at the age of four. She is not only an avid collector of Barbie dolls and accessories, but is also a modern collector of toys and dolls. Rebecca has shared her Barbie expertise through club membership, slide presentations, programs, seminars, workshops at conventions and through various news interviews. An immediate past officer and member of the UFDC Derby City Doll Club of Kentucky, Rebecca designed the club's logo. In 1988, Derby City Doll Club hosted their Region 8 Conference, "Vive les Bebes" at which time they sponsored Rebecca's first exhibit, "Welcome to Barbie-town U.S.A."; the appellation she gave her collection at the age of nine. The convention report in Doll Castle News magazine included this popular exhibit. In addition, Rebecca served as chairperson of the "Fashionable Barbie Doll Luncheon". She was editorial assistant and staff writer for "Vive les Bebes" souvenir book, as well as contributing writer of articles published by various other doll publications.
