The chief value of this book, the contents of which were photographed from the extensive collection of the Houston Museum in Chattanooga, is that while most price guides on pattern glass deal only with the most popular patterns either with inadequate photos or inaccurate line drawings, and little if any, original material, this useful volume gives historical information on lesser known patterns, which makes it unique. This author took care to list only pieces that she had actually owned or seen, and adds personal comments correcting misconceptions as well as mistakes of earlier authors.
