Both men nd women, mostly WASP, are represented; some names will be familiar to general audiences (H. Ross Perot, T. Boone Pickens, the Bass brothers, Mary Kay Ash, and the Hunts), but most of the subjects will be known only to other Texans. The sketches are rather superficial; readers who are interested in more than the soap-opera offerings here would be better served by some of the titles listed in the bibliography.
